ATTACHMENT 2 <br /> THE CITY OF <br /> = L ,,,, Old Vineyard Avenue <br /> ® m gMI I I III Trail Plan Update <br /> LEASANTONC Neighborhood Meeting <br /> Summary Notes <br /> Pleasanton Senior Center Classroom, 5353 Sunol Blvd., Pleasanton, CA <br /> March 2, 2017— 6:30 p.m. <br /> WELCOME AND INTRODUCTION TO MEETING — Matt Gruber, Landscape Architect <br /> Mr. Gruber welcomed and thanked everyone for attending this meeting to provide a plan <br /> update for the Old Vineyard Avenue Trail. He introduced himself and other city staff members <br /> Adam Nelkie, Senior Civil Engineer and Mike Tassano, Traffic Engineer. <br /> Attendees were provided a PowerPoint presentation that provided history on the project and <br /> details about the Vineyard Avenue Corridor Specific Plan. Additionally, Mr. Gruber <br /> commented on the 2008 concept plan for the trail, the 2013/14 construction documents, <br /> reviewed documents submitted to the Parks and Recreation Commission, and discussed the <br /> project going to bid in May 2014 then ultimately being put on hold because of development of <br /> the Chrisman property. <br /> Mr. Gruber reviewed with attendees the approximate project location, open space, public and <br /> private streets, location of existing homes, locations of planned residential units, and <br /> emergency vehicle access and requirements. He also provided information on the trail <br /> location being approximately one mile from Vineyard Terrace and Old Vineyard on the west <br /> and Machado Court on the East, with eventual connection being to Shadow Cliffs on the east <br /> and Livermore on the west. <br /> Mr. Gruber advised that city staff is hoping to go out to bid on this project in April and move <br /> forward with the bids so City Council can consider at their May 2, 2017 meeting. If everything <br /> moves forward as hoped construction could begin summer 2017. <br /> Mr. Nelkie provided information about construction of the trail and the materials to be used, i.e. <br /> AC and pulverized AC. He discussed street incorporation into the plan, safe road crossings for <br /> the trail, and trail access at Machado. Mr. Nelkie commented on concerns neighbors have <br /> raised and advised that staff is still open to making modifications. <br /> Mr. Gruber provided information about benches and trash cans that will be located along the <br /> trail, removable bollards, and resident fencing concerns.
