Attachment 1 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 17- <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON APPROVING <br /> THE ANNUAL PROGRESS REPORT ON IMPLEMENTATION OF THE GENERAL <br /> PLAN HOUSING ELEMENT FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 2016 AND AUTHORIZING <br /> SUBMITTAL TO THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY <br /> DEVELOPMENT AND THE CALIFORNIA GOVERNOR'S OFFICE OF PLANNING AND <br /> RESEARCH <br /> WHEREAS, California Government Code Section 65400 requires cities to prepare an <br /> annual report on the status of, and progress on the implementation of, the General Plan <br /> Housing Element, and to submit that report to various State agencies by April 1st; and <br /> WHEREAS, a Housing Element Annual Progress Report for the 2016 calendar year has <br /> been prepared; and <br /> WHEREAS, on May 2, 2017 the City Council of the City of Pleasanton reviewed the <br /> report. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> Section 1. The report accurately reflects the City's progress in implementing the General <br /> Plan Housing Element. <br /> Section 2. The City Council authorizes submittal of the attached Pleasanton Housing <br /> Element Annual Progress Report — 2016, shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto and made part of <br /> this case by reference, to the California Department of Housing and Community Development, <br /> and the Governor's Office of Planning and Research, as required by statute. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of Pleasanton at a regular <br /> meeting held on May 2, 2017. <br /> I, Karen Diaz, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the foregoing <br /> resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on the 2nd day of May <br /> 2017, by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: <br /> Noes: <br /> Absent: <br /> Abstain: <br /> Karen Diaz, City Clerk <br /> APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> Daniel G.
