Attachment 1 RESOLUTION NO. 17- RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON APPROVING THE ANNUAL PROGRESS REPORT ON IMPLEMENTATION OF THE GENERAL PLAN HOUSING ELEMENT FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 2016 AND AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL TO THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND THE CALIFORNIA GOVERNOR'S OFFICE OF PLANNING AND RESEARCH WHEREAS, California Government Code Section 65400 requires cities to prepare an annual report on the status of, and progress on the implementation of, the General Plan Housing Element, and to submit that report to various State agencies by April 1st; and WHEREAS, a Housing Element Annual Progress Report for the 2016 calendar year has been prepared; and WHEREAS, on May 2, 2017 the City Council of the City of Pleasanton reviewed the report. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: Section 1. The report accurately reflects the City's progress in implementing the General Plan Housing Element. Section 2. The City Council authorizes submittal of the attached Pleasanton Housing Element Annual Progress Report — 2016, shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto and made part of this case by reference, to the California Department of Housing and Community Development, and the Governor's Office of Planning and Research, as required by statute. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of Pleasanton at a regular meeting held on May 2, 2017.
