$2.25 million from the Low Income Housing Fund for the Sunflower Hill project. The
project was ultimately approved by City Council in 2017.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT REPORT
A Growth Management Report was presented to the City Council on October 15, 2013,
determining that the annual unit allocation commencing July 1, 2014, through June 30,
2022, is 235 units, consistent with RHNA allocation requirements. On February 3, 2015,
the City Council further amended Pleasanton Municipal Code Chapter 17.36 to ensure
that the Growth Management Ordinance does not include constraints that would prevent
the City from meeting its share of the regional housing need for all income levels during
the Housing Element planning period and stated the City's intention to have the City
Manager regularly report on efforts to meet goals of the Growth Management
Ordinance.
In 2016, the City approved a total of ninety nine (99) Growth Management Allocations.
Ninety four (94) of those allocations were approved by the City Council, and four (4)
were administratively approved by the Zoning Administrator. Thirty seven (37) additional
Growth Management Allocations were also approved to be deferred until 2017 and
2018 from the Centerpointe project (north of the intersection of Valley Avenue and
Busch Road) and Lund Ranch project in response to concerns about the rate of
residential growth and the drought. Irby Ranch allocations will be reported in 2017,
2018, and 2019 Growth Management Reports.
ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT
This is an informational report and not a project as defined by CEQA Guidelines Section
15378, and therefore no environmental assessment is required.
Submitted by: Fiscal Review: Approved by:
/f K
Gerry Beaudin Tina Olson Nelson Fialho
Director of Director of Finance City Manager
Community Development
Attachment:
1.
