The contract proposal included hiring a one-half (1/2) full time equivalent (FTE) employee <br /> over the course of the contract to provide a primary resource for continuity of scheduled <br /> routine services. The Utilities Enterprise will fund the other half of the position, which will <br /> be assigned to utilities operations throughout the city. In addition, staff will continue to <br /> execute an as-needed contract with a private contractor for emergency repair services as <br /> a means of minimizing the impact to existing staff resources.
