First Amendment to the Agreement to Construct Improvement Work between Frank and
Alma M. Auf Der Maur and Konrad Rickenbach and the City of Pleasanton, relieving the
Tract 4401 Developers of the requirement to construct the Del Valle Parkway across
Parcel E. In return, Parcel E will be dedicated to the City in fee thereby allowing Nevada
Street to be constructed by the Irby Ranch project.
RECOMMENDATION
1. Approve the attached First Amendment to Agreement to Construct Improvement
Work between Frank and Alma M. Auf Der Maur and Konrad Rickenbach and the
City of Pleasanton.
2. Authorize the City Manager to execute the attached First Amendment to Agreement
to Construct Improvement Work between Frank and Alma M. Auf Der Maur and
Konrad Rickenbach and the City of Pleasanton.
3. Authorize the City Engineer to accept Parcel E in fee for the purposes of the Nevada
Street extension.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT
This action has minimal financial impact to the City associated with the loss of property
tax payments from Parcel E after the land is dedicated for street purposes.
BACKGROUND
On August 26, 1980, the City Council approved the final map and accepted all parcels
of land offered for dedication to the City for Tract 4401, Stanley Commercial Park Unit
No. 3. The final map created 18 commercial lots and the following parcels:
• Parcels accepted by the City Council for public highway purposes:
o California Avenue
o Del Valle Parkway
o Stanley Boulevard Widening
o Utah Street
o Washington Street
o Wyoming Street
o Parcels A, B, D, and E
• Parcels dedicated to Alameda County Flood Control and Water Conservation
District:
o Parcels C and F
The 18 commercial lots and all parcels are depicted in Attachment 1. The owners
(Developers) listed on the final map were:
• Frank Auf Der Maur
• Alma M. Auf Der Maur
• Konrad Rickenbach
• Elizabeth Rickenbach
