FOR THE BERNAL AVENUE <br /> RESURFACING BETWEEN FOOTHILL ROAD AND VALLEY AVENUE <br /> PROJECT, CIP NO. 15514 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The project consisted of resurfacing approximately 255,000 square feet of pavement <br /> surface on Bernal Avenue between Foothill Road and Valley Avenue. City Council <br /> awarded this construction contract to Ghilotti Construction Company, Inc. on June 7, <br /> 2016. Construction of the project is complete and ready for City Council acceptance. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Accept the project as complete. <br /> 2. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion for the project. <br /> 3. Authorize payment of the retention in the amount of $41,568.17 to Ghilotti <br /> Construction Company, Inc. thirty days after the recordation of the Notice of <br /> Completion. <br /> 4. Authorize the return of the project balance of$314,676 to the Bernal Property (BIC) <br /> fund, Street CIP fund, and gas tax fund balances, as appropriate. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Funding for this project totaled $1,200,000, including $950,000 from GHC Bernal <br /> Investors LLC (BIC) as outlined in Attachment 1. Expenditures totaled $885,324 leaving <br /> a balance of$314,676 in the project. <br />
