The amount currently available for the project is $486,551 when combining the 2017 Curb <br /> and Gutter Removal and Replacement project, CIP No. 16509 ($250,000), the Annual <br /> Sidewalk and Intersection Ramp Installation project, CIP No. 16505 ($71,551), the Annual <br /> Sidewalk Maintenance project, CIP No. 16512 ($125,000), and reimbursement from the <br /> East Bay Regional Parks District ($40,000). This leaves a funding shortfall of$352,992. <br /> However this funding shortfall was expected because it was decided to move forward with <br /> design and bidding the bicycle/pedestrian improvement work at the intersection of Bernal <br /> Avenue/Stanley BoulevardNalley Avenue before funding was identified. According to <br /> the bid submitted by Empire Engineering & Construction, Inc. the bicycle/pedestrian work <br /> at the intersection totals $388,592.
