Pleasanton City Council
925-518-3036
THE CITY OF
„, anal - 1-II
\
On Mar 8, 2017, at 7:01 PM, Sandy Yamaoda rote:
Dear Council Members: I support the efforts of the Master Gardeners of Alameda County to establish
an educational garden on the Bernal Property. I have enjoyed the water-friendly Master Garden at
the Martinelli Event Center on Greenville Road in Livermore and members of the Livermore Amador
Valley Garden Club have been invited to many educational programs there. I think another garden
will be a great opportunity to educate the public as well as our children about sustainable gardening
in Pleasanton. I understand the garden may feature edible plants/trees, it will be maintained by the
Master Gardeners Group, and any produce that comes from the garden will be donated to charity.
Our children need to know where the food they see in the grocery store comes from and how it is
grown. Wonderful idea! By the way, our garden club has almost 200 members and meets at Alisal
School in Pleasanton.
Sandy Yamaoda
Member
Livermore Amador Valley Garden Club
3
