<br /> Funds from this grant will be used to teach elementary school students the value of recycling and the impact of composting in

<br /> Project Grant#: 16-63 Food Shift,The Alameda Kitchen, Berkeley,West County,$50,000.00-Funds from this grant will be used
<br /> to establish critical infrastructure needed to process surplus food and get it to hungry people. The Alameda Kitchen will train and
<br /> employ residents, majority of whom are unemployed and living below the poverty line.
<br /> Project Grant#: 16-64 Northern California Recycling Association (NCRA),Project Leadership for Organics Outreach in
<br /> Oakland, Berkeley,West County,$18,150.00-Funds from this grant will be used to assist multifamily residents in Oakland to
<br /> recycle and compost in an effort to increase outreach levels by targeting as many as 275 apartment complexes of 10 or more units.
