THE CITY OF _ <br /> in CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLEASANTON. <br /> February 7, 2017 <br /> Community Development <br /> ment <br /> Traffic Engineering <br /> TITLE: ACCEPT PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS PERFORMED BY TIM PAXIN'S <br /> PACIFIC EXCAVATION, INC., FOR THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL <br /> INSTALLATION AT AMADOR VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL PROJECT, CIP <br /> NO. 15550 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The project included the installation of traffic signals at the northern and middle <br /> driveways along Santa Rita Road at Amador Valley High School to improve access to <br /> and from the parking lot City Council awarded this construction contract to Tim Paxin's <br /> Pacific Excavation, Inc on March 15, 2016 Construction of the project is complete and <br /> ready for City Council acceptance <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1 Accept the project as complete <br /> 2 Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion for the project <br /> 3 Authorize the payment of the retention in the amount of $25,737 57 to Tim Paxin's <br /> Pacific Excavation, Inc 30 days after the recordation of the Notice of Completion <br /> 4 Authorize the return of the project balance in the amount of $45,093 to the Traffic <br /> Impact Fee Fund <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Funding for this project totaled $700,600 as outlined in Attachment 1 Expenditures <br /> totaled $655,507, leaving a balance of $45,093 Additionally, the Pleasanton Unified <br /> School District (PUSD) has agreed to reimburse the City for their share of the sidewalk <br /> construction in the school parking lot ($49,500), which will be directed to the Traffic <br /> Impact Fee Fund <br /> There will be an incremental increase in annual operations and maintenance costs in <br /> the City's Operating Budget due to the additional signalized intersections in the City <br />
