February 7, 2017 Community Development ment Traffic Engineering TITLE: ACCEPT PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS PERFORMED BY TIM PAXIN'S PACIFIC EXCAVATION, INC., FOR THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATION AT AMADOR VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL PROJECT, CIP NO. 15550 SUMMARY The project included the installation of traffic signals at the northern and middle driveways along Santa Rita Road at Amador Valley High School to improve access to and from the parking lot City Council awarded this construction contract to Tim Paxin's Pacific Excavation, Inc on March 15, 2016 Construction of the project is complete and ready for City Council acceptance RECOMMENDATION 1 Accept the project as complete 2 Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion for the project 3 Authorize the payment of the retention in the amount of $25,737 57 to Tim Paxin's Pacific Excavation, Inc 30 days after the recordation of the Notice of Completion 4 Authorize the return of the project balance in the amount of $45,093 to the Traffic Impact Fee Fund FINANCIAL STATEMENT Funding for this project totaled $700,600 as outlined in Attachment 1 Expenditures totaled $655,507, leaving a balance of $45,093 Additionally, the Pleasanton Unified School District (PUSD) has agreed to reimburse the City for their share of the sidewalk construction in the school parking lot ($49,500), which will be directed to the Traffic Impact Fee Fund There will be an incremental increase in annual operations and maintenance costs in the City's Operating Budget due to the additional signalized intersections in the City
