THE CITY OF _ _ <br /> 1111 ma.11Pr los <br /> pL-EASANTON® CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> November 15, 2016 <br /> Community Development <br /> Traffic Engineering Division <br /> TITLE: APPROVE THE RIDDELL STREET TRAFFIC CALMING PLAN <br /> SUMMARY <br /> City staff has been working with residents from Riddell Street to address their <br /> neighborhood traffic concerns The City and the Riddell Street residents have <br /> developed a traffic calming plan to prohibit left turns from westbound Sunol Boulevard to <br /> southbound Riddell Street to reduce the cut-through traffic in their neighborhood The <br /> residents have collected the required signatures to show that a strong majority (75%) of <br /> the residents support the traffic calming plan <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve the Riddell Street Traffic Calming Plan <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The estimated cost to furnish and install a "No Left Turn" sign and post is approximately <br /> $300 Funds are available in the City's Bi-annual Neighborhood Traffic Calming <br /> Program (CIP No 16555) to fund this project <br /> The maintenance cost for the "No Left Turn" sign will be paid through the Street <br /> Division's Road Maintenance Program <br />
