Proposal for Pleasanton Downtown Specific Plan Update <br /> Revised Scope and Budget—October 14, 2016 <br /> recommendations for pedestrian and bicycle circulation improvements through <br /> a combination of graphics,text,and imagery as detailed above <br /> 4 Parking(D&B) Review of required parking for various land uses, integration of <br /> Downtown Parking Strategy <br /> 5 Public Facilities (D&B) Update to reflect new Civic Center Master Plan, other <br /> changes as necessary resulting from any updates to Land Use No assessment of <br /> necessary changes to utility infrastructure is assumed as part of this Scope of <br /> Work If the City determines that land use change/intensification would have <br /> the potential to affect adequacy of water, sewer, and stormwater infrastructure, <br /> the scope and budget would need to be modified and a specialist in these topics <br /> added to the team <br /> 6 Niles Canyon Railway Proposal (D&B) Review and update to reflect current <br /> conditions and direction, or remove <br /> 7 Historic Preservation (D&B) Clarify policies related to evaluation and <br /> protection of historic resources A revised survey of historic resources will not <br /> be provided <br /> 8 Design and Beautification (D&B, CA, UFS) Incorporate any new direction <br /> regarding streetscape and building design, ensure consistency with Downtown <br /> Design Guidelines and Hospitality Guidelines Emphasize graphic depictions and <br /> diagrams CA will assist in preparation of the design and beautification section <br /> by providing recommendations for aesthetic improvements within the <br /> streetscape environment Specifically, CA will provide <br /> recommendations/guidelines for streetscape enhancements through a <br /> combination of graphics,text,and imagery as detailed above <br /> CA will prepare a single illustrative design plan of the project area to illustrating <br /> streetscape improvements, building forms, and other recommendations as <br /> noted The plan will be prepared in AutoCAD, rendered in color for illustrative <br /> purposes and superimposed on an aerial to illustrate context <br /> UFS will participate in modifications to the Downtown Specific Plan, as <br /> necessary, for matters concerning urban design Text revisions and minor <br /> changes to graphics will be completed <br /> 9 Economic Vitality (D&B, EPS as needed) Revise and update to reflect current <br /> conditions, incorporate EPS work related to Civic Center site and Downtown <br /> area as a whole, specifically regarding desired land use mix, ensure consistency <br /> with Hospitality Guidelines <br /> 10 Implementation (D&B) Revise to reflect new programming and infrastructure <br /> needs, if any See note above regarding public facilities and infrastructure <br /> Identification of capital improvements will be limited to streetscape/public <br /> realm <br /> 5-B TF Meetings #8, 9, and 10 (D&B) In the final three meetings, the TF will review the <br /> revised Specific Plan and recommend any changes <br /> 5-C Screencheck and Public Review Draft Specific Plan (D&B,Team Assistance) Based on <br /> revisions from staff and the TF, we will produce the revised Draft Specific Plan for <br /> 7 <br />
