THE CITY OF <br /> • <br /> ss �y <br /> —'L4 : ' 1ol�■ <br /> _. „ rig e, 6 _ Rio CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> -)LEASANTON® <br /> November 15, 2016 <br /> Community Development <br /> TITLE: APPROVAL OF A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH <br /> DYETT & BHATIA FOR $275,000 FOR SERVICES RELATED TO <br /> PREPARATION OF AN UPDATE TO THE DOWNTOWN SPECIFIC <br /> PLAN <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The City Council has identified updating the Downtown Specific Plan as a work plan <br /> priority Accordingly, staff prepared a draft Request for Proposals (RFP) for <br /> professional services and requested City Council authorization to solicit proposals on <br /> July 19, 2016 Subsequent to the RFP distribution, staff identified three firms to <br /> interview and selected Dyett & Bhatia to lead a consultant team to update the <br /> Downtown Specific Plan Other consultants that would assist in the effort include <br /> Urban Field Studio, Callander Associates, and Economic & Planning Systems, Inc <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Authorize the City Manager to execute a Professional Services Agreement with Dyett & <br /> Bhatia in the amount of $275,000 for services related to the preparation of an update to <br /> the Downtown Specific Plan <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The cost of $275,000 would draw from the Community Development Department's <br /> Professional Services account Planning review and administration will be conducted <br /> by staff and is part of the Planning Division budget <br />
