3. Approve a professional services agreement with BKF Engineers in the not-to-exceed amount of <br /> $80,000 to evaluate and develop pedestrian and bicycle improvements for 1-580 and 1-680 <br /> overcrossings <br /> Councilmember Brown suggested including that alternative routes be properly marked/demarcated, in <br /> the agreement. <br /> Councilmember Narum questioned spending money on the 1-580 when there are higher-ranking <br /> projects in the plan. <br /> It was noted that staff will balance future "low-hanging fruit" in order to address them, as they come up <br /> and will pursue grant opportunities as appropriate. <br /> MOTION: It was m/s by Pentin/Olson to approve and authorize the City Manager to execute a <br /> professional services agreement with BKF Engineers in the not-to-exceed amount of $80,000 to <br /> evaluate and develop pedestrian and bicycle improvements for 1-580 and 1-680 overcrossings. Motion <br /> passed by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Brown, Narum, Olson, Pentin, Mayor Thorne <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: None <br /> 4. Approve a professional services agreement with Fehr& Peers in the amount of $39,908 to provide <br /> planning and engineering services for a Foothill Road Bicycle Corridor Plan <br /> Councilmember Narum would like to have a bike/pedestrian crossing, at the Alviso Adobe Park, added <br /> to the professional services agreement. <br /> MOTION: It was m/s by Narum/Brown to approve and authorize the City Manager to execute a <br /> professional services agreement with Fehr & Peers in the amount of $39,908 to provide planning and <br /> engineering services for a Foothill Road Bicycle Corridor Plan with the addition of a bike/pedestrian <br /> crossing at the Adobe Park.
