From: Paul Martens SUPPLEMENTAL MATERIAL
Sent: Monday, May 23, 2016 10:16 AM Provided to the Planning Commission
To: Natalie Amos After Distribution of Packet
Subject: 4791 Augustine St. (Pud-118)
Dear Ms.Amos, Date Distributed: SIN!I Io
I am a resident of Pleasanton of 26 years. During that time, I have witnessed many changes in the landscape of our
city. In particular, since I live near downtown, I have watched how the downtown area has been changing in the last s-
10 years. It is exciting see the transformation, especially over the last 5 years. Remodeling and reconstruction has
enhanced the look and feel of the "new"downtown of Pleasanton. I am speaking of locations like the Starbucks, the
restaurants on the west side of Main St.,the salon on St. Mary, and the plans for the renovation on Peters and St. Mary
(which is another development plan that Mike Carey is involved).
Mikes new venture,4791 Augustine St.(Pud-118), looks equally as exciting, and even more important to our city. The
plans and renderings that I have seen are a vast improvement in that lot, which is currently an eyesore. His plans for
4791 Augustine St. (Pud-118) will fold right into the "new" look for the city especially in light of the city's plan for
relocation of the civic center offices. The west end of Main will has a great future in terms of the look and feel, and will
blend in very nicely with the rest of the downtown planning. Congratulations to all in this project and the Planning
Commission!!!
Sincerely,
Pa 9 '
Paul Martens
1
