Please Note: Artist Austin Willis is attending college back east. If approved he will paint the box when he returns home for a break. 4. "Nature's Bliss" — artist, Alma Ramirez a. Artist Description: Abstract design that tries to capture the beauty of Pleasanton's nature. Blooming trees, clean and colorful skies from dusk till dawn make our city look colorful and filled with life. My painting displays a lively painted sky with white blossoms. (Refer to attachment 5 for more detail.) b. Comments from the PASS committee and Civic Arts Commission include: the committee appreciated the design and stated this is exactly what they were looking for. c. The Civic Arts Commission is recommending placement of this design on the utility box located at Bernal Avenue and First Street. CONCLUSION The Civic Arts Commission has approved the designs and is recommending the designs to the City Council for their review and consideration. Once the designs and locations are approved and an agreement with the artists are completed, the artists will have a four (4) week period to complete their work. However, that schedule may be lengthened due to inclement weather or other unforeseen delays.
