We have often spoken to friends living in other communities about the facilities and programs offered by the City. The tennis facilities in particular, are one of the key attractions for us. I play 2 -3 times a week and play league tennis all around the bay area - there are few courts in the East Bay that match up to the quality of the surface and the surroundings. The courts are well maintained and well used. Most evenings find most of the courts occupied - with folks waiting outside for the next slot. I was happy to hear that the additional courts in the original master plan were finally approved for construction. I understand that non - tennis playing folks might feel left out of the benefits of a community tennis facility, but 1
