I think that the whole situation was handled poorly. It is yet another example of the civic leaders not listening to or respecting the rights of the residents of Pleasanton. The local community deserved more than a postcard notification 3 days prior to the planned destruction of their community park. When did the hearings occur? If they did, why were the locals so adamant that they had not been consulted or notified? It was mentioned that there were approvals obtained in 1986, long before many of these residents were even in Pleasanton.?
