In response to Councilmember Brown's question, staff indicated contacting the Wheels Bus regarding <br /> the project and they indicated they would be able to re-route services during construction. <br /> Discussion continued regarding whether the area is a flood area, drainage areas to contain the water in <br /> the street and into the storm drain and possible conflicting projects. <br /> Mayor Thorne opened the public hearing. Seeing and hearing no one wishing to address Council on <br /> this matter, Mayor Thome closed the public hearing. <br /> Councilmember Brown commented on Kimley-Horn mistakes in their bid and urged staff to use them <br /> with good judgement. <br /> Members of Council commented positively on the project. <br /> MOTION: It was m/s by Narum/Brown to approve the plans and specifications and approve various <br /> construction agreements including those with Ghilotti Construction Company, Inc., Carlson <br /> Management, Inc., Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., and Geocon for the construction of Stanley <br /> Boulevard Reconstruction and Undergrounding Utility District, CIP No. 055022, and waived full reading <br /> and adopted Resolution No. 16-861 authorizing an application with the Metropolitan Transportation <br /> Commission (MTC) for $225,000 in Transportation Development Act (TDA) Article 3 funds for Stanley <br /> Boulevard Reconstruction and Undergrounding Utility District, CIP No. 055022 <br /> Motion passed by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Brown, Narum, Olson, Pentin, Mayor Thorne <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: None <br /> 17. Second reading and adoption of Ordinance No. 2140 to amend the contract between the <br /> California Public Employees' Retirement System (CALPERS) and the City of Pleasanton to <br /> include Section 20516 (Employees Sharing Additional Cost) of an additional .5% for Classic <br /> CALPERS Local Fire Members of the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department and Section 20516 <br /> (Employees Sharing Additional Cost) of an additional .5% for Classic CALPERS Pleasanton <br /> Police Officers <br /> Staff presented the report noting it is the second reading of Ordinance No. 2140. <br /> Mayor Thorne opened the public hearing. Seeing and hearing no one wishing to address Council on <br /> this matter, Mayor Thome closed the public hearing. <br /> MOTION: It was m/s by Olson/Pentin to waive second reading and adopt Ordinance No. 2140 to <br /> amend the contract between the California Public Employees' Retirement System (CALPERS) and the <br /> City of Pleasanton to include Section 20516 (Employees Sharing Additional Cost) of an additional .5% <br /> for Classic CALPERS Local Fire Members of the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department and Section <br /> 20516 (Employees Sharing Additional Cost) of an additional .5% for Classic CALPERS Pleasanton. <br /> Motion passed by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Brown, Narum, Olson, Pentin, Mayor Thome <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: None <br /> City Council Minutes Page 6 of 7 May 17, 2016 <br />
