o METER BOX AUDIT—Development of meter box audit criteria, data analysis of meter box
audit results, validating materials required for product order entry, determine work orders for
complex installations, reducing "return to utility" work orders, and insuring the project stays
in budget.
o OUTREACH PROGRAM — Development of the City's AMI customer outreach program
which includes; all external correspondences, digital customer experience through design of
Automated Meter web page, development of City staff's education program, and distribution
of customer media per Automated Meter Roll Out Plan, to insure awareness in upcomming
installation areas.
o AUTOMATED METER ROLL OUT PLAN—Develolpment of the City's Automated Meter
roll out plan, including early stage DCU network design ahead of field installations. The
deployment of automated meters will begin deliberately to ensure that all of the business
processes, information systems, deployment tools, and field installation procedures are
operating effectively to minimize disruption to the City's customers and City's normal
business operations. Once this is validated, the deployment rate will accelerate, and the AMI
deployment will transition to mass installation based upon the identified route sequencing
plan.
o PRODUCT ORDER ENTRY—Forcasting and coordination of product order entry, materials
identified in Exhibit B. This includes working with all project partners on delivery timelines,
coordination of inventory with meter installation contractor, and managing AMI build out
through project maturity, with no product overage upon project completion.
o METER INSTALLATION CONTRACTOR —Delta as an Aclara certified AMI installation
contractor will work with the meter installation contractor's project manager on all aspects of
field installations. Delta will monitor field installation training, inventory, storage, staging,
and labor required to insure meter installations are completed by the target end date.
Additionally, Delta will conduct post installation inspection of each field technician's work
to insure compliance with Aclara's MTU installation standards. Inspections will be
conducted at the early stage of the installation process, with periodic sampling inspections
throughout installation maturity.
o CHANGE MANAGEMENT—In an effort to maximize positive experiences to the customer,
Delta will work with City's project manager on improvements identified during the maturity
of the AMI rollout. This involves evaluation and addressing internal and external impacts on
the people and processes associated with the AMI technology implementation. The customer
experience and related tangible project benefits are of utmost importance during each phase
of the AMI project implementation.
o MASTER PROJECT SCHEDULE — Development, maintenance and monitoring of the
Master AMI project schedule on behalf of the City. This involves merging Aclara's project
schedule with the installation contractor's project schedule and product delivery schedules.
The result would provide the City with a timeline view of the entire project, circumventing
conflicts in project deliverables.
