THE CITY OF 16 <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pLEASANTON. <br /> June 7, 2016 <br /> Operations Services Department <br /> TITLE: ADOPTION OF CITY OF PLEASANTON 2015 URBAN WATER <br /> MANAGEMENT PLAN UPDATE <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The City's Draft 2015 Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) has been prepared in <br /> accordance with the UWMP Act (Act) reporting requirements. The Plan describes the <br /> City's: water deliveries and use, water supply sources, Water Conservation Act of 2009 <br /> compliance and targets, projected demands through 2040, water supply reliability, water <br /> shortage contingency plan, and demand management measures. As an urban water <br /> supplier, the City of Pleasanton is required to update and submit to the California <br /> Department of Water Resources (DWR) their UWMP update every 5-years. Submission <br /> of the 2015 adopted UWMP is due to DWR by July 1, 2016. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Adopt the draft 2015 UWMP to reflect any modifications adopted to the updated <br /> Pleasanton Municipal Code Chapter 9.30 (Water Management Plan) on tonight's meeting <br /> agenda. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There is no direct financial impact. <br />
