EXHIBIT A <br /> Policy and Procedure Review and Development <br /> • RAC will review and assess the Community Services Department's current practices and <br /> procedures for ensuring access and inclusion in compliance with Americans with <br /> Disabilities Act(ADA)Title II and California State law <br /> • RAC will conduct in-person interviews with key Community Services <br /> Department Staff. RAC will send an outline of questions and information needed <br /> from staff prior to these meetings. <br /> • RAC will review the Community Services Department's"Draft" Inclusive Service <br /> Delivery Policy and Procedures document and prepare a final document ensuring that all <br /> policy and procedures are in compliance with the ADA Title H and California State law. <br /> The policies and procedures shall incorporate the following: <br /> • Policy and Procedure"Purpose Statement"regarding providing services for the <br /> public in compliance with the ADA Title II and California State law <br /> • Definitions of key terms and concepts <br /> • A detailed summary of the type of support the City will and will not provide to <br /> participants and the legal justification for each <br /> • A program registration process for participants <br /> • A process for participants to request accommodation <br /> • An assessment process for potential program participants;and after the <br /> assessment is conducted, a process for developing a program plan to work with <br /> the participant and/or their family <br /> • A policy on record retention for participants with disabilities <br /> • RAC will provide recommended"best practice"guidelines and practices as it relates to <br /> the ADA in the following areas: <br /> o Staff Training <br /> • Policies and Procedures <br /> • Implementing Plans and providing accommodation <br /> o Program Evaluation <br /> • Policy and Procedure Implementation <br /> • Plan and Support Implementation <br /> o How to market programs and services <br /> o Participation in Community Services programs and activities <br /> Wage <br />
