THE CITY OF <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> FL£ASANTON <br /> June 7, 2016 <br /> Community Services Department <br /> TITLE: APPROVE SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH RECREATION <br /> ACCESSIBILITY CONSULTANTS, LLC IN THE AMOUNT OF $30,000 <br /> FOR ADA POLICY AND GUIDELINES <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Community Services Department is requesting approval to establish a service <br /> agreement with the Recreation Accessibility Consultants, LLC (RAC) for review of the <br /> City's draft Inclusion document, the development of new program policies and <br /> procedures, and to provide staff training that will ensure that the City is in compliance <br /> with the Americans with Disabilities Act requirements. <br /> Services include: policy review and development specifically addressing the elements of <br /> the process to serve people with disabilities, both inclusive and specialized programs; <br /> and training for City staff in the area of policy, risk management, and implementation of <br /> the inclusion process. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> It is recommended that the City Council approve the contract with Recreation <br /> Accessibility Consultants, LLC in the amount of $30,000 for ADA policy and guidelines. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The funding for the proposed Service Agreement is included in the FY 2016/2017 <br /> Operating Budget in the General Government Department account#011-247-4385. <br />
