The modified project is substantially consistent with the previously-approved
project, which was analyzed in the Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration, as
documented in Exhibit E of Attachment 4. No new information or changed
circumstances have been identified per CEQA Guidelines Section 15162 that would
require supplemental environmental review. Therefore, no supplemental environmental
document accompanies this report.
CONCLUSION
Workday is an important employer in the City of Pleasanton and the proposed project
will allow it to grow and continue to benefit the City. Staff believes the revised site plan
will function well, with efficient on-site circulation, adequate provisions for parking, and
well-designed landscaped features. The revised designs of the office building and
parking garage are attractive and the structures are positioned to create a visual
presence on Stoneridge Mall Road and the freeways without being too dominating.
Affected street intersections will be mitigated to provide for efficient flow and to maintain
acceptable levels of service. The public would benefit from the improved pedestrian
and bicycle access to/from the BART station, the public plaza behind the BART garage,
the joint City/BART police service center, and the new sidewalk to the Stoneridge Mall
Shopping Center. Therefore, staff recommends approval of the proposed modifications.
Submitted by: Fiscal Review: Approved by:
//it—
Gerry Beaudin Tina Olson Nelson Fialho
Director of Director of Finance City Manager
Community Development
Attachments:
1.
