when our services are not required and others when our effort is closer to full-time. Additional effort <br /> beyond that estimated herein may be required to accommodate project needs. We will not exceed the <br /> fee estimate provided herein without your written authorization. <br /> Based on the information presented above, our anticipated services and estimated fee are outlined <br /> below. Our services will be provided on an on-call, time-and-materials basis as requested by City <br /> representatives. Our total effort will be largely contingent upon the construction schedule, pace of <br /> construction and contractor performance. Costs for our soil technicians and inspectors will be invoiced <br /> at a rate of$95 per hour during a normal 8-hour day, Monday through Friday. Hours worked in excess <br /> of 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week or on Saturdays will be charged at time and one-half per hour. <br /> Hours worked on Sunday will be charged at double the normal hourly rate. Overtime rates will not <br /> apply to travel time to/from the site. Our soils technicians will be equipped with a vehicle and sufficient <br /> field-testing equipment to provide the results of typical field tests at the site. All vehicles and <br /> field-testing equipment are included in the hourly rate. <br /> Item Estimated Fee <br /> Part I: Geotechnical and Materials Testing <br /> Soils Technician/Inspector—Grading and Site Improvements $51,350 <br /> (estimated 520 regular technician hours) <br /> Geotechnical Laboratory Testing(estimated 10 laboratory proctors) 1,550 <br /> Asphalt Laboratory Testing(assumed testing suite and estimated 5 days of paving) 5,250 <br /> Miscellaneous Concrete Compressive Strength Testing(est.6 sets of 5 cylinders) 1.050 <br /> Subtotal—Part I: $59,200 <br /> Part II: Engineering Support,Submittal Review,Project Management and Reporting $5,500 <br /> TOTAL ESTIMATED FEE: $64,700 <br /> PROPOSED FEES <br /> We propose to perform the scope of services outlined above on a time-and-materials basis for an <br /> estimated fee of $64,700. If unforeseen conditions are encountered, or if we experience delays or <br /> circumstances beyond our control,we will notify you immediately to discuss modifications to the scope <br /> of services and/or project fees. We will not eclipse the total fee estimated herein without written <br /> authorization from the City of Pleasanton. <br /> AUTHORIZATION <br /> We will commence with the scope of services proposed herein upon receipt of written notice to proceed. <br /> Our services will be provided and invoiced in accordance with our As-Needed Professional Services <br /> Agreement with the City of Pleasanton. <br /> Project No.E8685-04-08 -2- April 15,2016 <br />
