THE CITY OF 1 0 <br /> ° CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> PL£ASANTON. <br /> May 17, 2016 <br /> Engineering <br /> TITLE: ADOPT A RESOLUTION ORDERING THE SUMMARY VACATION OF <br /> EXCESS RIGHT OF WAY AND PUBLIC SERVICE EASEMENTS ON <br /> OWENS DRIVE, WILLOW ROAD, AND GIBRALTAR DRIVE <br /> SUMMARY <br /> On May 1, 2012, the City Council adopted Ordinance Nos. 2035 and 2036 approving <br /> PUD-85-08-12D and PUD-81-30-86D. PUD-85-08-12D and PUD-81-30-86D provide for <br /> the construction of Essex I and Essex II, located at 4863 Willow Road and 5789 Gibraltar <br /> Drive. Pursuant to the conditions of approval, vacation of street right of way and public <br /> service easements is necessary for both projects for the construction of on street parking <br /> and pedestrian bulb-outs. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Adopt a resolution ordering the summary vacation of excess right of way and public <br /> service easements on: <br /> a. Owens Drive and Willow Road, and approving the grant of such excess <br /> property to the property owners at 4863 Willow Road; and <br /> b. Gibraltar Drive, and approving the grant of such excess property to the <br /> property owners at 5789 Gibraltar Drive. <br /> 2. Authorize the City Manager to execute quitclaim deeds. <br /> 3. Direct the City Clerk to record the quitclaim deeds. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There will be no fiscal impact to the City by vacating the street right of way and public <br /> service easements. <br />
