THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON. <br />m <br />CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />April 19, 2016 <br />Mayor and City Council <br />TITLE: APPOINT DANIEL SODERGREN AS CITY ATTORNEY AND APPROVE <br />EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT EFFECTIVE MAY 16, 2016 <br />SUMMARY <br />After an extensive recruitment, Daniel Sodergren ( "Dan ") has been selected by the <br />Mayor and City Council for the position of City Attorney. With a strong educational <br />background and nearly thirty years of legal experience, Dan is well qualified to serve as <br />Pleasanton's City Attorney. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Approve the attached Employment Contract which confirms the appointment of Daniel <br />Sodergren as City Attorney effective May 16, 2016, with an annual salary of $200,000. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />Funds in the 2016 -2017 Operating Budget have been allocated for this purpose. <br />
