Public Art Selection Subcommittee — Commissioner Jellison advised that the Public
Art Selection Subcommittee had reviewed several sculptures proposed for the Cultural
Arts Center facility. She advised that two sculptures were chosen by the Subcommittee
and the artists have been asked to provide models for them to review. Commissioner
Jellison also advised that murals for this site are now also being considered because it
has been suggested that this location might be better suited for a mural than a
sculpture. Ms. Crose advised that when the sculpture models are made available they
could be brought to this Commission's May meeting for their review. She also noted
that staff is discussing the possibility of a mural on the wall of the Cultural Arts Center
and will be making a decision on this suggestion.
COMMISSION COMMENTS
Civic Arts Commission Minutes
March 7, 2016
Page 4
