Public Art Selection Subcommittee — Commissioner Jellison advised that the Public <br />Art Selection Subcommittee had reviewed several sculptures proposed for the Cultural <br />Arts Center facility. She advised that two sculptures were chosen by the Subcommittee <br />and the artists have been asked to provide models for them to review. Commissioner <br />Jellison also advised that murals for this site are now also being considered because it <br />has been suggested that this location might be better suited for a mural than a <br />sculpture. Ms. Crose advised that when the sculpture models are made available they <br />could be brought to this Commission's May meeting for their review. She also noted <br />that staff is discussing the possibility of a mural on the wall of the Cultural Arts Center <br />and will be making a decision on this suggestion. <br />COMMISSION COMMENTS <br />Civic Arts Commission Minutes <br />March 7, 2016 <br />Page 4 <br />
