Commissioners Lombardo indicated he had questions regarding items 2 of the Consent <br />Calendar and asked that the items be removed to allow for further discussions. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Gaidos, seconded by Commissioner Soby to approve <br />items 3 and 4 on the Consent Calendar. The motion was approved unanimously. <br />Item 2 on the Consent Calendar - Commissioner Lombardo discussed with staff and Barcelon <br />representative Sean Barcelon, his concerns regarding the Variance Report and the Financial <br />Report and a $3,000 difference in the $152,357 amount. He was advised by Mr. Barcelon that <br />he check on this with Eden and provide a report at the next meeting. <br />Commissioner Lombardo noted that in October he had questions regarding a door issue at this <br />site and wondered whether the problem had been resolved. Mr. Barcelon advised that no <br />changes have been made. <br />Erin Housey provided information about locked doors to the exterior of the building and safety <br />concerns with having a device installed. Mr. Barcelon indicated that the change would be a <br />significant undertaking and that no current problems have occurred but staff will continue to <br />check. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Lombardo, seconded by Commissioner Meyers, to <br />approve item 2 on the Consent Calendar. The motion was approved unanimously. <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br />5. Introductions / Awards / Recognitions <br />There were none. <br />6. Public Comment from the audience regarding items not listed on the agenda <br />Mr. Barcelon informed Commissioners that because this was going to be the last week for his <br />company to manage Kottinger Place he wanted like to thank the Commission and the City of <br />Pleasanton for allowing them to serve the residents at this location. <br />Commissioners were also advised by CeCe, one of the Kottinger Place staff members that she <br />would be moving to another position in Hayward and would also like to thank the Commission <br />and City of Pleasanton for allowing her to serve the seniors at this location. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS <br />7. Approval of Federal HOME Funds and City Lower Income Housing Funds Related to the <br />Housing and Human Services Grant (HHSG) Program for Fiscal Year 2016 -17 <br />Ms. Reisner reviewed with Commissioners the grant funding process for the Housing and <br />Human Services Grant (HHSG) Program, advising that funding was available from the <br />Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME (HOME Investment Partnership <br />Program, and two local sources — the Lower Income Housing Funds (LIHF) and General Funds <br />that are allocated for human services. <br />Commissioners were informed that a total of thirty (30) applications had been received by the <br />January 25, 2016 deadline for a total of $929,764 in funding requests.
