Subject FW:Johnson Dr.
Attachments: Johnson Drive EDZ FAQ-11-10-15.pdf : 'I' ° ``'` :6`.' °'tA" MATERIAL
.:vk uci to the City Council
rry a 3jstribution of Packet
From:Joy
Sent:Tuesday,April 12, 2016 1:28 PM Date G
To: Mayor and City Council<citvcouncil @cityofpleasantonca.aov>
Subject:Johnson Dr.
To City council of Pleasanton:
Too bad that I am not good at the letter writing. However I wish to say that first we are in a drought and are always
threatened about the water. Water costs escalate. We are encouraged to conserve and yet council goes gleefully along
overfilling our city with building which is consuming the precious resource. Residential seems to be top of its list. Our
streets are so overcrowded and we don't have the infrastructure to support what the council keeps approving.
There is a large crowd that will appear at tonight's meeting to shut down the proposed Costco. They are 'not'the only
people of Pleasanton. There are many that would welcome the Costco for its service, revenue, and exclusion of more
housing.
It seems that our community would certainly do well without more building at this time. The council has too much power
in its hands and is in such a mad rush to build everything possible within its terms. Once upon a time we of the city voted
for 'slow growth' and chose council members that believed in that as well. We were a city of Planned Progress. That
certainly has been shoveled under.
Please know tonight there are many in our city that still love it and have fond memories of the time when forethought was
put into its building. We may not pack the city hall at meetings but we are still here hoping that we will be considered in
your votes.
Thank you,
Joy Schomo
12 Foothill Place
Click here to report this email as spam.
1
