Project Grant#: 15-63 GrassRoot Recycling Network dba Zero Waste USA,Zero Waste Community Development in <br /> Alameda County,Sebastopol,West County,$12,375.00-Funds from this grant will be used to finalize the Zero Waste <br /> Communities Toolkit and conduct Introduction to Zero Waste Workshops in each of the 8 communities in Alameda County that have <br /> yet to establish a Zero Waste goal. <br /> Project Grant#: 15-64 Community Housing Partnership,Recycling and Environmental Awareness Program,San Francisco, <br /> West County,$17,000.00-Funds from this grant will be used to enhance its existing REAP curriculum by developing a tailored 5- <br /> week course,in addition to new programming,that will be deployed semi-annually at Treasure Island,wherein no REAP activities <br /> have been conducted to date. A total of$343,011.00 in Project Grants <br /> was awarded. <br /> Multi-Year Grants <br /> The Education Advisory Board awarded 2 Board Initiated Project Grant in the 2015 grant cycle. <br /> Multi-Year Grant#: 13-65(3)Castro Valley Sanitary District(CVSan),Multi-Family Food Scrap Recycling in Castro Valley, <br /> Castro Valley,East County,$5,266.66-Funds from this grant will be used to provide access to the third(organics including food <br /> scrap recycling)of three primary municipal solid waste services(organics,recycling,and garbage)and education that single-family <br /> residences have appreciated in Castro Valley for over 10 years. <br /> Multi-Year Grant#: 14-51(2)Community Action for a Sustainable Alameda(CASA),The 90 Percent Challenge,Alameda, <br /> West Couty,$10,000.00-Funds from this grant will be used to work with all 4th grade teachers to sign up classrooms for the Davis <br /> Street Transfer Station tour,work with all 5th grade teachers to implement the Student Action Project,sign up the Rock Steady <br /> Juggling school assembly for each school,and ensure that all middle and high schools are participating in the Service Learning Waste <br /> Reduction Project. <br /> The total 2015 Expenditure Plan budget of$16,000 for Multi-Year Grants was approved by the Board along with the option to <br /> carry over all unexpended funds from previous grant years and expend if necessary. A total of$15,266.66 in Multi-Year <br /> Grants was awarded. <br /> Board Initiated Projects <br /> The Education Advisory Board awarded 1 Board Initiated Project Grant in the 2015 grant cycle. <br /> Board Initiated Grant#: B-1—Langan Treadwell Rollo,Dyer Road Well Water Testing,Livermore,East County,$22,500.00- <br /> Develop a Domestic Well Questionnaire and Access Agreement to gather well details and well water sampling requirements and <br /> document that the well owners,approximately 10 residents along Dyer Road,agree to provide Langan access to collect and analyze <br /> samples. <br />
