placed in lifts not exceeding 12 inches, or the depth of penetration of the compaction equipment <br /> used, whichever is less. <br /> HYDROLOGY AND WATER QUALITY(SECTION 4.5) <br /> Significant Impact <br /> Impact 4.5-4: The proposed project would incrementally increase surface runoff from additional <br /> impervious surfaces and provide and additional source of polluted runoff, but would not exceed <br /> the capacity of the storm drain system. <br /> Finding <br /> Changes or alterations have been required in, or incorporated into, the project which mitigate or <br /> avoid the significant effects on the environment. <br /> Facts in Support of Finding <br /> The City of Pleasanton has adopted the following measures which will reduce potential surface <br /> runoff impacts to a less-than-significant level: <br /> Mitigation Measure 4.5-4: The project sponsor, working with the Alameda Countywide Clean <br /> Water Program, shall implement a program to educate buyers about the potential water quality <br /> effects of stormwater pollution and effective measures to prevent the generation of stormwater <br /> pollutants from residential land uses. At a minimum, the program shall address stormwater <br /> pollutants such as hazardous materials commonly used in household applications; spilled oil, <br /> fuel, and other fluids such as antifreeze from vehicles; construction debris; landscape chemicals <br /> such as pesticides, herbicides, and copper-based algaecides; used packing materials; paint <br /> products; trash and litter; excess irrigation; and car washing. Educational materials developed <br /> under this program shall identify alternative products that are more environmentally friendly as <br /> well as methods to control stormwater pollutants at their source. The materials shall also be <br /> consistent with materials available from the Alameda Countywide Clean Water Program and <br /> shall be provided to the buyer at the time of purchase. <br /> TRAFFIC AND CIRCULATION (SECTION 4.6) <br /> Significant Impact <br /> Impact 4.6-2: The project would result in long-term traffic increases at local intersections and <br /> incrementally degrade level of service operation at these intersections. <br /> Finding <br /> Changes or alterations have been required in, or incorporated into, the project which mitigate or <br /> avoid the significant effects on the environment. <br /> Facts in Support of Finding <br /> The City of Pleasanton has adopted the following measures which will reduce potential impacts <br /> related to long-term traffic increases to a less-than-significant level: <br /> Mitigation Measure 4.6-2: The project's impact on study intersections would be mitigated by <br /> the payment of traffic impact fees, which is proposed by the project applicant. The need to <br /> signalize the Sunol Boulevard/I-680 Northbound Ramp and Sunol Boulevard/I-680 Southbound <br /> Ramp intersections have been identified in the City's General Plan as future planned <br /> LUND RANCH II (PUD-25)RESIDENTIAL PROJECT 15 FINDINGS <br />
