bane Kobayashi
Subject: FW: 273 Spring Street project
1PI LCIZ'6L1TALL
Provided to the City Courooi0
From: Alexis Gass, Clover Creek After Distribution of Packet
Sent: Friday, January 15, 2016 1:00 PM :Zik
To: Mayor and City Council Date
Subject: 273 Spring Street project
Dear City Council Members,
I am asking that you consider not going forward with the proposed project for 273 Spring Street.
It will have a negative impact on the existing shortage of parking on Main Street and side streets.
The project will displace approximately 20 cars using the lot at 273 Spring St. and there is no room
on Spring St. for them to park since there is very rarely open parking.
The parking lot at the hardware store near my business is often filled to capacity with cars of people
patronizing other locations. The New York Pizza business employs many delivery drivers that take a
lot of parking spaces. We are now going to have a new realty business moving in next door to us
that will require parking for their clients and short term parking for the real estate agents.
We receive regular negative remarks from customers about the lack of parking for our businesses
and how they would have stopped in another time except they could not find parking.
The downtown has a considerable amount of senior citizens that like to shop and eat in our
downtown, partially because it is easier for them to navigate here than at the mall. There are also
many people that meet here from surrounding towns to have lunch and shop. If we continue to lose
parking availability for customers
The downtown has already lost enough parking because of other projects that have gone forward
without adequate parking spaces to support the building.
Thank you for considering my request.
Alexis Gass
Clover Creek
Gifts and Home Accents
670 Main St.
Pleasanton, Ca. 94566
p. 925.462.0814
f. 925.462.0942
Click here to report this email as spam.
1
