Specific installation drawings <br /> submitted by the licensed underground fire protection contractor shall be submitted <br /> to the Fire Prevention Bureau for approval. <br /> • Backflow prevention or connections to the public water mains. <br /> 104. Electrical conduit shall be provided to each fire protection system control valve including <br /> all valve(s) at the water connections. The Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department <br /> requires electronic supervision of all valves for automatic sprinkler systems and fire <br /> protection systems. <br /> 105. Address numbers shall be installed on the front or primary entrance for all buildings. <br /> Minimum building address character size shall be 12 inches high by 1-inch stroke. If <br /> building is located greater than 50 feet from street frontage, character size shall be 16 <br /> inches high by 1 1/2 inches stroke minimum. Where multiple access is provided, address <br /> or tenant space number shall be provided on each access and/or warehouse door and <br /> character size shall be no less than 4 inches high by 3/-inch stroke. In all cases address <br /> numerals shall be of contrasting background and clearly visible in accordance with the <br /> Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department Premises Identification Standards. This clearance shall be a minimum of 13 feet-6 inches. Inside turning <br /> radius of 45 feet and outside turning radius of 55 feet shall be provided. <br /> d. Buildings or portions of buildings or facilities exceeding 30 feet (9144 mm) in height <br /> above the lowest level of fire department vehicle access shall be provided with <br /> approved fire apparatus access roads capable of accommodating fire department <br /> aerial apparatus. Fire apparatus access roads shall have a minimum unobstructed <br /> width of 26 feet in the immediate vicinity of any building or portion of building more <br /> than 30 feet (9144 mm) in height.
