Eric Luchini
From: Kevin Powers
Sent: Monday, November 16, 2015 3:27 PM
To: Eric Luchini
Subject: P14-1024, P14-1025, & PUD-107; Project at Corner of St. Mary Street and Peters Avenue
Eric, I am the owner and resident of 459 St. Mary Street and submit to you this email in support of the project and the
matters related to it to be discussed before the planning Commission on Wednesday, November 18, 2015.
The recent development projects in the downtown district have been good for Pleasanton and I see this proposed one
by Fireside Investors, LLC,as a positive continuation of the kinds of buildings and uses that will strengthen the
downtown core.
The proposed new residential buildings are attractive and consistent with the spanish-type look of the existing corner
building which will be converted to commercial use. I love the placita (plaza) proposed at the corner which, among
other things, will help soften the St. Mary streetfront that is a bit "constrained" by the adjacent commercial building
(east on St. Mary), built right up to the sidewalk with no setback, that is currently under major remodel.
I am hopeful that the commercial portion of the project will end up having a tenant that will add another high end night-
time use to downtown,so important in helping promote downtown Pleasanton as a viable and popular night-time
alternative to the growing downtown Livermore night-time scene.
And it will be good to see the existing long-time empty lot developed with a nice project like this one. As each new
project like this one gets built and succeeds, more new projects will happen.
Thank you.
Kevin M.
