There are a lot of reasons for why I would like to see this project come to Fruition. I am supporter of shopping local and patronizing our local businesses. A new commercial place where people can gather would he a great way to bring in more clients and customers to support downtown businesses. Judging by the amount of activity on the patio at Blue Agave and the plaza at Tully's,I ligh Tech Burrito, etc.. Our Town could certainly use another outdoor gathering place. The design features of the project are beautiful! The three new residences blend well with the original house on the corner. So glad the old house is not being torn down. The mix 01-commercial and residential next to each other I think ofas a real win-win... Good for downtown and good for the neighborhood. I'm so very happy to see the private residences arc set back from the curb. Building anything too close to the street or sidewalk - well. I find that distasteful, ugly. and out of balance aesthetically. That is probably unsafe, too. I often hear comments that downtown shuts down too early. so as far as an additional night time destination goes. I would also endorse that. (Closing by 10 on weekdays, 11 p.m. weekends as a suggestion). I can only welcome and applaud that the vacant lot and weeds will he replaced with smart and attractive landscaping.
