7. Review and make recommendations upon all works of art to be <br /> acquired by the City, either by purchase, gift, or otherwise pursuant <br /> to Art in Public Places Municipal Code Chapter 13.16; <br /> 8. Review and make recommendations with reference to any existing <br /> work of art in the Public Art Collection in connection with: (a) the <br /> relocation or alteration thereof; or (b) the removal of; pursuant to <br /> the deaccession policy generally described in the Pleasanton <br /> Downtown Public Art Master Plan, as may be amended; <br /> 9. Recommend the promulgation of policies and procedures for the <br /> development and implementation of public art in the City; <br /> Item A. 7 would now become item A. 10 and be amended to reflect the <br /> following: <br /> 10. With city council approval, apply for and accept gifts, grants, funds, <br /> contributions and bequests from individuals and public and private <br /> entities, agencies, foundations, trusts, corporations and other <br /> organizations or institutions that are arts and culture related. <br /> Item A. 8 would now become item A. 11 and remain unchanged in content. <br /> 11. Other powers and responsibilities as outlined in other sections of <br /> this chapter and as may be appropriate in carrying out the purposes <br /> and goals of this chapter and as set forth in reports or <br /> recommendations adopted by the city council. Remove "Four regular commissioners and one alternate commissioner <br /> shall be selected from the community at large." <br /> Items C and D would be removed <br /> At the November 3, 2015 Civic Arts Commission meeting, staff presented the <br /> Commission with the proposed changes to the Pleasanton Municipal Code Chapter <br /> 2.39, Civic Arts Commission. The Civic Arts Commission approved the <br /> recommendation and requested that staff forward the item to the City Council for their <br /> review and consideration. <br /> As a point of information, Attachment 1 illustrates all of the proposed revisions in "Track <br /> Changes" for ease of reference.
