Subject:
FW: Lund Ranch II Development Road should go through Sunset Creek and /or
Sycamore Creek
From:
Sent: Tuesday, December 01, 2015 3:45 PM
To: Mayor and City Council
Cc:
S PPLEM Mg+EMUAti.
Provided to the City Council
After Distribution of Packet
Date
Subject: Lund Ranch II Development Road should go through Sunset Creek and /or Sycamore Creek
Dear Council Members: Jerry Thorne,Karla Brown,Kathy Narum, Arne Olson and Jerry Pentin,
My husband and I have lived in Pleasanton for 27 years so we have seen a lot of changes.
Regarding Lund Ranch II: When it was being built, there were signs placed at the end of Sunset Creek
and Sycamore Creek
stating that this road was to be extended in the future. Now that Lund Ranch looks like it will be built,
we think that you should
abide by what was written. The traffic on Junipero St. is already heavily traveled and if Lund Ranch
Rd. is to be extended to the
Lund Ranch development it would have a devastating impact on the Junipero neighborhood.
Please consider the way is has been in the plans and what a previous city council pledged that
Sunset Creek and /or Sycamore Creek be extended into the Lund Ranch development. The residents
of those neighborhoods were well aware of this possibility.
We thought that Measure PP involved the building of homes on the ridges and not roads. I think that
is a stretch, getting the Sierra Club involved to try to sway you and the Planning Commission to not
extend the street using Sunset Creek or Sycamore Creek.
While I have your attention, I am also saddened by the fact that Greenbriar and others are building so
many homes year after year. When is enough, enough?
And when Greenbriar said that they originally wanted to build 113 homes and now will only build 50
homes, I am skeptical in the fact that from the beginning they were going to compromise on 50
homes so the Pleasanton residents would accept this proposal. I feel their plan was calculating.
Thank you for your time. Hopefully you will side with the Mission Hills and the Ventana Hills residents.
Sincerely,
Susan and Ron Wacek
5771 San Antonio St.
Pleasanton,CA. 94566
Click here to report this email as spam.
i
