FOR THE BLACK AVENUE TRAFFIC CALMING <br /> PHASE 1 PROJECT, CIP NO. 145025 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Black Avenue Traffic Calming Phase 1 project consisted of installing concrete curb <br /> bulb-outs, access ramps and traffic striping at two intersections along Black Avenue. The <br /> project was awarded to FBD Vanguard Construction, Inc. for the amount of $87,900. <br /> Construction of the project is complete and ready for acceptance. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Accept the improvements for the project. <br /> 2. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion. <br /> 3. Authorize payment of the retention in the amount of $4,395.00 to FBD Vanguard <br /> Construction, Inc., thirty days after recordation of the Notice of Completion. <br /> 4. Authorize transfer of the project balance ($41,799) to the Black Avenue Traffic <br /> Calming, Phase 2 project, CIP No. 155049 <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Funding for this project totaled $130,000 as outlined in Attachment 1. Expenditures <br /> totaled $88,202, leaving a balance of$41,799 in CIP No. 145025. Staff recommends the <br /> transfer of this balance to the Black Avenue Traffic Calming, Phase 2 project, CIP No. <br /> 155049. <br />
