However, even though the majority of the residents of this city wanted zero or slow growth, the building has mushroomed up the hills on both sides of the valley and throughout the valley. Currently there are several high density apartments being built and more homes are planned. To rezone the Centerpointe Church property at Valley and Busch is a terrible plan. A terrible use of the land. This land is currently zoned as Public and Institutional. It needs to stay that way. The traffic in and around Pleasanton has become similar to the Cities of San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego, all places I have never wanted to live because of the constant traffic problems and impacted roads and freeways. The work being done on 580 and 680 has not brought relief because of the excessive building of homes and continues to be stop and slow through much of every day. The pollution levels in the valley have increased and this beautiful area is being ruined. Additionally, we are in the midst of a long, no-end-in-sight drought. Continuing to build homes in an area that is already struggling to provide water and sewer to the existing residents is close to being criminal and not very intelligent. Please DO NOT REZONE the Centerpointe Church property at Valley and Busch. Thanks you for considering my opinion and 'vote'.
