THE CITY OF <br /> =_.: 11 <br /> ['L£ASANTON, CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> September 1, 2015 <br /> Operations Services <br /> TITLE: APPROVE SECOND AMENDMENT TO PROFESSIONAL SERVICES <br /> AGREEMENT WITH TYLER TECHNOLOGIES IN THE AMOUNT OF <br /> $193,019 FOR ENTERPRISE RESOURCE PLANNING SOFTWARE <br /> AND IMPLEMENTATION SERVICES FOR UTILITY BILLING <br /> SUMMARY <br /> In accordance with City purchasing procedures, staff circulated a Request for Proposals <br /> (RFP) seeking a qualified firm to provide Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software <br /> and implementation services for Financial, Payroll, Human Resources, and Utility <br /> Billing. Three firms responded to the RFP and one firm, Tyler Technologies, was <br /> confirmed as submitting a complete response. The City authorized implementation of <br /> the financial, payroll and human resources modules of the ERP on May 19, 2015. After <br /> further successful detailed review and testing of the utility billing module, staff is <br /> recommending the City enter into a professional services agreement with Tyler <br /> Technologies, Inc. in accordance with the scope of work and fees set forth in <br /> Attachment 1. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Approve a second amendment to the current professional services agreement with <br /> Tyler Technologies for software and implementation services for Utility Billing not-to- <br /> exceed the amount of$193,019. <br /> 2. Authorize the City Manager to execute the subject contract amendment, subject to <br /> minor modifications approved by the City Manager and City Attorney. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Funding for the ERP software and implementation services for Utility Billing is available <br /> and will be allocated 50% to the Water Enterprise Fund and 50% to the Sewer <br /> Enterprise Fund. <br />
