THE CITY OF 0 <br /> rruu <br /> j5LEA'7 A-7 CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> August 18, 2015 <br /> Community Development <br /> Traffic Engineering Division <br /> TITLE: REVIEW PROPOSALS AND AWARD AS NEEDED PAVEMENT STRIPING <br /> AND SIGNAGE SERVICES AGREEMENT TO WOMACK STRIPING, INC. <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The City uses a pavement striping and signage contractor for new (and modifications to <br /> existing) pavement striping and signs. The as needed contract has a $50,000 annual <br /> maximum. Quotes are obtained for each job prior to authorization by the City's Traffic <br /> Engineer. Staff solicited proposals for an as needed pavement striping and signage <br /> services contract and received three proposals, with Womack Striping submitting the <br /> lowest cost qualified proposal. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Review the submitted proposals and award the as needed pavement striping and <br /> signage services contract to Womack Striping, Inc. <br /> 2. Authorize the City Manager to enter into the as needed maintenance contract. <br /> 3. Authorize the Director of Community Development to review and approve future <br /> contract extensions per the provisions of the contract. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Funding for the use of a pavement striping and signage contractor is included in the <br /> Traffic Button and Line Marker Capital Improvement Program (CIP) project budget. The <br /> pavement striping and signage budget is $50,000 for fiscal year 2015-2016 and $50,000 <br /> for fiscal year 2016-17. <br />
