CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 74- 176 <br /> A RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE CONCEPT OF <br /> PROJECT "4 " . <br /> WHEREAS, the Camp Parks Reservation located immediately to the <br /> north of Highway I-580 adjacent to the City of Pleas- <br /> anton, contains a Federal Youth Center, the Santa Rita <br /> Rehabilitation Center and a Cura Narcotics Detoxifi- <br /> cation Center; and <br /> WHEREAS , business , professional and civic-minded men and women <br /> interested in the development and implementation of <br /> communication links between the residents of the <br /> above facilities have formed a voluntary organization <br /> called Project "4 " ; and <br /> WHEREAS, the purpose of Project "4 " is to provide the residents <br /> of the above facilities additional resources to aid in <br /> the development of their futures while the resident is <br /> confined to the institution and when he or she is re- <br /> leases from said institution by offering specialized <br /> input in a variety of areas ; and <br /> WHEREAS, Mr . Neil Miller made a presentation regarding Project <br /> "4 " to the City Council at its meeting of August 26 , <br /> 1974 urging Council endorsement of the Project "4 " <br /> program; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is believed that participation, not only by commu- <br /> nity groups and businesses but also endorsement by <br /> local governmental entities in the Tri-Valley area <br /> will assist in promoting the goals of Project "4 ". <br />
