CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 74-164 <br /> A RESOLUTION EXEMPTING AMBERWOOD-PLEASANTON TRACTS #3471 <br /> AND #3298 FROM THE CITY'S RESTRICTED GROWTH POLICY IN <br /> ORDER TO ALLOW CONSIDERATION OF A PRIVATE SEWAGE DISPOSAL <br /> SYSTEM <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Pleasanton has adopted a <br /> restricted growth policy for the purpose of regulating <br /> the number of tentative map approvals which occur within <br /> the City due to the present sewer plant crisis within <br /> the municipality; and <br /> WHEREAS, Robert H. Grant Corporation owns approximately 70 acres <br /> of property on Santa Rita Road consisting of a proposed <br /> 209 lot development plus a school site, said area known <br /> as Amberwood-Pleasanton Tracts #3471 and #3298 ; and <br /> WHEREAS, on August 26 , 1974 , said corporation requested an exemp- <br /> tion from the City' s restricted growth policy based on a <br /> presentation involving the establishment of a private <br /> sewage treatment plant within said development; and <br /> WHEREAS, City Council was presented with a film presentation out- <br /> lining the characteristics of this private sewage dis- <br /> posal system which would use approximately 1/10 of the <br /> water used by..a conventional system and which contemplates <br /> a recycling of the water through a reverse osmosis <br /> system; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council was shown a model of this sewage dis- <br /> posal system; and <br /> WHEREAS, in order to consider the environmental effects of this <br /> system it will be necessary to process a tentative map <br /> for the above tracts; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br /> RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />
