M � <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 74-142 <br /> A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A COMPENSATION PLAN <br /> FOR EXECUTIVE, MIDDLE MANAGEMENT AND CONFI- <br /> DENTIAL PERSONNEL FOR THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 73-114 . <br /> IWHEREAS, the City Council has authorized the establishment of <br /> and designation of employees as executive, middle <br /> management and confidential employees; and <br /> WHEREAS , the City Manager has recommended compensation plans <br /> for these employees; and <br /> WHEREAS , the City Manager has received notices from those em- <br /> ployees belonging to the Pleasanton City Employees <br /> Association and International Association of Fire <br /> _ Fighters, Local 1974 , who are also designated middle <br /> management and confidential employees, indicating their <br /> desire to be compensated other than under a Memorandum <br /> of Understanding negotiated with said employee groups; <br /> and <br /> (!WHEREAS, the City Council had previously, by Resolution No. <br /> 73=114 , adopted a compensation plan for the above era- <br /> ! ployees, which resolution must now be repealed. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br /> RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS : <br /> I <br /> Section 1. The City Manager, in determining the compensation <br /> level for those personnel included in the Executive Compensation <br /> Plan shall use the guidelines set forth in Exhibit A, attached <br /> hereto and incorporated herein by reference . <br /> Section 2 . The City Manager, and department heads , in determin- <br /> ing the compensation level for those personnel included in the <br /> Middle Management Compensation Plan shall use the guidelines set <br /> forth in Exhibit B, attached hereto and incorporated herein by <br /> reference . <br />
