To address this, the resolution that <br />governs the EVC is recommended to be changed as noted below: <br />Section 3: The Economic Vitality Committee shall have one representative from each <br />of the following groups. The members shall serve without compensation. Members shall <br />be reimbursed for appropriate expenses incurred when attending conferences if <br />budgeted and approved by the City Council. <br />Chamber of Commerce — A representative recommended assigned by the board <br />of directors of the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce whose membership in the <br />organization is expected to be at least two years from the time of the <br />appointment to the Committee. <br />Stoneridge Shopping Center — A representative from assigned by Stoneridge <br />Shopping Center. <br />Pleasanton Downtown Association — A representative from a business located in <br />the city's downtown district and recommended assigned by the board of directors <br />of the Pleasanton Downtown Association. <br />Tri- Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau— A representative recommended <br />assigned by the board of directors of Tri - Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau <br />and whose membership in the organization is expected to be at least two years <br />from the time of the appointment to the Committee. <br />Education Community — A representative recommended assigned by the <br />Pleasanton Unified School District Board of Trustees. <br />Alameda County Fairgrounds — A representative recommended assigned by the <br />Alameda County Fair Association. <br />Section 4: Members shall be appointed to the Committee in accordance with City <br />resolution No. 97 -18, A Resolution Establishing Procedures for Appointments to City <br />Boards and Commissions, except specific groups or organizations as identified by the <br />City Council (i.e., the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce, the Tri - Valley Convention and <br />Visitors Bureau, the Pleasanton Downtown Association, Hacienda, Stoneridge <br />Shopping Center, Alameda County Fairgrounds and the Pleasanton Unified School <br />District) may choose their own representatives, <br />Council. <br />A clean copy of the revised resolution as recommended is included as Attachment 1. <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />
