ATTACHMENT <br /> Task 9— Field Resident Engineer During Construction <br /> CM, Inc. shall provide a Resident Engineer to support the City's Construction Manager <br /> and to directly coordinate with the RMC ESDC team. The Resident Engineer will be the <br /> daily point of contact with the Contractor and will report directly to the City's Construction <br /> Manager. The Field Engineer may perform some or all of the following: <br /> • Set agenda (with Construction Manager) and attend weekly construction <br /> meetings, prepare meeting minutes/notes, and publish within 48 hours <br /> • Use options contained in Contract Plans to develop pipeline horizontal and <br /> vertical alignment as needed to avoid minor obstructions in the alignment. Use <br /> bid item costs and schedule of value costs, to the extent possible, to establish <br /> cost of'work around' adjustments. <br /> • Identify needed major alignment changes (that cannot be resolved during daily <br /> construction), and coordinating a solution with the Construction Manager, <br /> Contractor, and RMC ESDC staff <br /> • Coordinate with TESCO and the City regarding the supply, installation, and <br /> programming of the flow control stations <br /> • Coordinate with City of Dublin, City of Livermore, Zone 7 Water Agency, <br /> California Department of Fish and Wildlife, and Dublin San Ramon Services <br /> District <br /> • Proactively schedule and conduct meetings with design team, City staff, and/or <br /> construction manager, as needed to: <br /> o Resolve/avoid issues that can foreseeably impact construction schedule <br /> and delivery of water to the Sports Park by the Interim Milestone <br /> o Identify and resolve foreseeable construction issues related to critical <br /> connections on Dublin Blvd. at Tassajara Rd. and Fallon Rd. <br /> o Identify and resolve foreseeable construction issues related to horizontal <br /> directional drilling under Arroyo Mocho <br /> o Minimize of impacts to residences, places of business, traffic (including <br /> the decision to use night construction in select areas) <br /> o Assist testing and flushing of pipelines to allow progressive delivery of <br /> water service <br /> o Assist testing and startup of flow control stations <br /> • Develop, review, and coordinate with Construction Manager, documentation for <br /> Change Orders (final review and approval by Construction Manager and City) <br /> • Review of shop drawing submittals for completeness and transmit submission to <br /> designer <br /> • Review of shop drawings (non-technical) <br /> • Issue Contract Day Statements <br /> • Review and track certified payrolls and aid in interview <br /> • Review traffic control plans and provide comments to Traffic Department for their <br /> approval <br /> • Coordinate with City's biologist for Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting <br /> • Review contractor's compliance with CEQA requirements <br /> • Monitor status of construction, construction schedule, status/flow of submittals, <br /> RFIs, PCOs, and other paper work flow/documentation, including: <br /> o Shop drawing field log <br /> o RFI field log <br /> o PCO field log <br /> o Change Order field log <br />
