THE CITY OF 1 8
--► CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT
pLEASANTONC
June 16, 2015
City Manager
TITLE: CONSIDER ADOPTION OF A RESOLUTION TO STOP THE EAST
PLEASANTON SPECIFIC PLAN (EPSP) PLANNING PROCESS AND
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW PROCESS, HAVE THE EPSP PROCESS CONSIDERED
AS PART OF FUTURE CITY COUNCIL REGULAR PRIORITY SETTING, AND STOP
WORK BY EPSP TASK FORCE AND THANK AND DISBAND THE TASK FORCE;
OR OTHER ACTIONS AS PREVIOUSLY CONSIDERED RELATED TO THE EPSP
SUMMARY
On June 2, 2015, the City Council voted 4-0 (Olson recused) to not place the issue of
whether to continue the East Pleasanton Specific Plan (EPSP) on the ballot as the cost
of the election was determined to be excessive. The City Council instead voted 4-0
(Olson recused) to have staff bring back a resolution for consideration at the June 16,
2015 meeting that would disband the EPSP Task Force and indefinitely stop the EPSP
process.
RECOMMENDATION
Consider adoption of the attached resolution.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT
There is no financial impact to the City by pausing the EPSP process other than it will
allow City staff to devote time to other Council priorities.
