ATTACHMENT 2
"A Sunflower Day"
Enclosed please find our submission for Project Paint box, titled,
"A Sunflower Day." Sunflowers, which originated in the America's in 1000
B.C., are considered to be gifts of 'radiant warmth' and the 'happiest' of all
the flowers. They symbolize loyalty, longevity, nourishment and vibrancy.
Set against the Tri-Valley hills, they also represent a great day in
Pleasanton, where all of the wonderful symbolism does comes true!
Neighbors wishing 'radiant warmth' to one another and all residents living a
'happy' life!
As one of the top cities in the nation to live, the city of Pleasanton and
Sunflowers have a lot in common — longevity, nourishment and vibrancy!
This utility box will remind residents to celebrate all that's good about the
city and to have a 'Sunflower Day!"
The two identical sunflowers will be placed on opposite sides of the utility
box. The hills on the other panels (each different) showcase the green hills
and trees, and flowers that bloom each spring. And on the top, a bit of fun
— a butterfly and bee to remind us that all creatures must thrive!
t % _
Oita
t L _ . 1
Robby and Thomasin, Summer 2014
