o The pace of residential development will be subject to the requirements of the
Growth Management Program as outlined in Chapter 17.36 of the Pleasanton
Municipal Code.
o Adoption of the EPSP is projected for adoption in mid 2015. Community
meetings and public hearings before the Planning Commission and the City
Council will occur prior to adoption of the Plan.
o Individual projects within the plan will be subject to established review policies of
the City. Therefore an additional 2-3 years may be required for that process prior
to any construction activity occurring within the EPSP area. Given the restriction
outlined in the Growth Management Program, residential development projects to
build out could take 5-7 years or longer depending on economic conditions, after
their initial approval.
Finally, lets join together to welcome new families to our community. Encourage them to
join us in the continuing process of making Pleasanton a great place to live. Let us also recognize
that our city is an integral part of the greater Livermore/Amador Valley community. We enjoy
the benefits that other Cities have and they enjoy ours.
